Sometimes taking a year off competing is all you need to really grow into your physique.
Left - 2021/10/07 - competed at 96kg (same number of weeks from December show) "in between"
Competed in 2022, again at my weight cap of 96kg. Because of having a weight cap and no space to grow I had to avoid blowing up in the offseason and as a result seriously held back on growth.
Took 2023 off to really push myself in a structured off season, staying true to a plan - for the most part (I truly believe I could have been far stricter - but don’t we always)
Right - 2024/10/07 - 110kg without a weight cap for stage.
3 years has been a long time to consciously put effort towards being more and more consistent, and I can honestly say that I made most of that progress in the last 8 months because that consistency kicked up to a new level.
Consistent graft, day in, day out, is what will bring you so much further than any short lived burst of intensity.
